”DRUGS NEVER TAKE A HOLIDAY”
Three Marathons in Holland
This summer there were three “DRUGS NEVER TAKE A HOLIDAY” marathons in Holland, arranged by Narconon Holland.
The first marathon started on 26 July 2007 and finished some days later. The route was through four towns of Holland (Den Haag, Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Breda) and through Belgium (Antwerpen, Mechelen) and at last to Brussels – capital of Belgium.
One of the main participants of the first marathon was Paul Rood, the founder of Narconon Holland. Several graduates also took part in the marathon from Narconon Zutphen ( Holland). James Roscoe a graduate from Narconon Zupthen participated in both “Drugs Never Take a Holiday” marathons and is also a current member of the third marathon.
The staff of Narconon Zupthen was represented in the marathon by Daan Reinstra.

The marathon was very successful and received great media coverage everywhere they went.
The First Marathon was sponsored by The Foundation For a Drug Free Europe and was also supported by the Church of Scientology.
The second marathon took place exclusively in Holland. It was from the North of the country, starting at the beach of Den Helder to the South of Holland, ending in Rennesse. The theme of the marathon was again “Drugs Never Take a Holiday”.
The third marathon is taking place currently and this is organized by Narconon solely. The starting location is at Narconon Zutphen, Holland crossing the English Channel to Narconon Hastings in the UK and it will end in the seaside city of Brighton.

Special designed T-shirts for Marathons, which runners wears at the marathons.
The reason for marathons was to show people the effectiveness of the Narconon program and the wonderful products – graduates of Narconon. As you will see below, people like our activities and offer a lot of help in handling drug addiction in society!
Den Haag city, Holland: The runners had a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who has problems with Dutch people that have been in prisons abroad for drug smuggling. The Ministry wants to use parts of the Narconon program to help these people!
