THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF NARCONON ESLOV, SWEDEN

In September 2007 a great celebration took place at Narconon Eslöv in Sweden. The occasion was the 25 th anniversary of this Narconon Center.

Early afternoon guests started arriving and found a center filled with the spirit of celebration.

Guests included former graduates, students, family of current and former students, Politicians, Officials from the Commune, Board Members and the staff of nearest Narconons. In total over 200 guests from Sweden and Denmark came to this wonderful celebration!

Mikael Hägg, the Master of Ceremonies welcomed all and then gave the floor to Bosse Persson who told the interesting story of how Narconon Eslöv started. He told about the early days and the famous yellow bus with which students were picked up and brought to Narconon.

Håkan Larsson, the Executive Director for NN Eslöv, shared his experience of working in this Narconon and told how the center developed. Then he told all of the exciting future plans and developments which will take place at this center.

Of course there was a lot of live music and guests enjoyed it very much! Aleena and Mimi, artists and big friends of Narconon played and sang acoustic numbers and the mood was set for the rest of the festivities.

Kristina Warming,the Chief of Health Matters in Eslov`s Commune.

Narconon was honoured to have present Kristina Warming, the Chief of Health Matters in Eslöv’s Commune. She spoke of her positive, pleasant and long association with Narconon and their work. She surprised all when she told the audience that she had personally done a Communications Course by L. Ron Hubbard in the 60’s with a student group in the University City of Lund . She has personal reality and experience with the technology of Training Routines and what benefits it has for a person.

The next speaker and strong supporter of Narconon Eslöv and their good work was a former City Board Official of Malmö, Iva Pariskova-Ryggeståhl. She expressed her full support for the Narconon Program and praised it. She has for years been actively writing and working against the use of psychiatric medication on any person.

The Executive Director of Narconon Europe, Mia Persson, then presented the ED, Håkan and all the staff of NN Eslöv with the famous Viking Award from Narconon Europe in appreciation of the hard work and dedication of this Center for saving lives and creating drug free lives. The audience honoured the staff with a standing ovation!

The first student and graduate of Narconon Eslöv, Ricard Augstsson received his T-Shirt. Then Åsa Hansen, the mother of a graduate and current staff member of the center, received a T-shirt for her support. She had baked twenty of her famous cakes for the guests to enjoy at this event!

The Medical Doctor, who has given outstanding service and support to the center, Dr. Stig Kronberg, was also thanked and given an acknowledgment.

During the celebration everybody enjoyed nice food and a lot of entertainment followed from the musicians – graduates and friends of Narconon Eslov: Thomas Wiehe, playing acoustic music, The 30’s band of Nisse, Lazze X and others.

A great moment was the presentation of a certificate by the Senior Director for Production of NN Eslöv, Roger Abrahamson, to the latest graduate Fredik Lindeberg. Frederik also received a standing ovation and there was not a dry eye in the house after this. This is what everything in Narconon is all about, Drug Free Lives!
